Dr. Garth Robillard is a veterinarian at Scripps Ranch Veterinary Hospital who is passionate about helping pets live healthier, happier lives. His interest in veterinary medicine began through hands-on experience as a veterinary assistant in both equine and small animal hospitals before earning his Bachelor of Science degree from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Western University of Health Sciences.
Dr. Robillard enjoys many areas of veterinary medicine, including surgery, emergency care, and educating pet owners. He is Fear Free Certified, RECOVER Basic Life Support certified, USDA accredited, and a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) and the Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society (VECCS). He has also earned the VECCS Proficiency in Emergency and Critical Care Award.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Robillard enjoys spending time with his wife and kids, traveling, trying new foods, gardening, and working on hands-on projects. He is the host of the Veterinary Vibes podcast, where he shares educational content, interviews veterinary professionals, and talks about topics in animal health.
Dr. Robillard is also a proud pet parent to Leo, his energetic 7-year-old Maltipoo. Through his work, podcast, and social media, he enjoys connecting with pet owners and sharing his passion for veterinary medicine.
